4G trail camera with live view, app and solar cell
This 4G trail camera with app and solar cell gives you live streaming directly to your phone, so you can always follow along in real-time via the Ucon or Ubox app. The camera uses 4G and therefore does not require Wi-Fi. With a SIM card and 4G coverage, you can watch live video, receive recordings, and change camera settings directly in the app. With a lightning-fast response time of 0.3 seconds, you won't miss any movement, and the camera delivers clear recordings both day and night.
Monitor your hunting ground live from your mobile
Unlike a traditional trail camera, you don't need to go to the camera and retrieve the SD card to see what has happened.
The camera connects to 4G and is accessed via the Ucon or Ubox app. Here you can, among other things:
- watch live video
- receive pictures and recordings
- change the sensor's sensitivity
- control how often the camera records
- keep up, even when you are far from the hunting area
This makes the camera suitable for monitoring feeding grounds, game trails, covers, and other places where you want to follow wildlife activity without constantly visiting the area.
Invisible 940 nm no-glow night vision
The camera uses 940 nm infrared no-glow light at night.
This means that there is no distinct red light from the camera when it records in the dark. The camera can therefore detect activity at night more discreetly.
The night vision has a range of up to approx. 25 meters.
Solar cell and large battery pack
The camera has a battery pack of 15,600 mAh consisting of six 18650 batteries.
The included solar panel can continuously supply power to the battery, reducing the need to take the camera down and recharge it.
How long the camera can run between charges depends on factors such as:
- how often the camera is activated
- how much live viewing you use
- mobile connection
- temperature
- how much sun the solar cell receives
We recommend charging the camera for 12–24 hours before initial setup, so the battery pack is fully charged before connecting the solar cell and using the camera.
SIM card and subscription
The camera needs access to the mobile network to send data.
A SIM card is included, where a data subscription can be activated through the app from approximately 10 USD per month.
You can also use a SIM card from a regular telecom company. For example, a Lebara subscription can be obtained from around 19 DKK per month.
Thus, no Wi-Fi is required at the hunting ground – there just needs to be adequate mobile coverage.
SD card or cloud
The camera supports micro SD cards, so pictures and videos can be saved locally on the camera for free.
This means you don't have to pay for cloud storage to save recordings.
If you want cloud storage, there is also a subscription solution through the app from approximately 4 USD per month.

Frequently asked questions about the 4G trail camera
Does a 4G trail camera need Wi-Fi?
No. The camera uses the mobile network via a SIM card and therefore does not need Wi-Fi. There must be 4G/mobile coverage at the location where the camera is set up.
Can I watch the camera live?
Yes. Via the Ucon or Ubox app, you can open the live view directly on your phone.
Can the camera send pictures to the mobile?
Yes. The camera can send recordings and pictures through the app via the 4G connection.
Do I have to pay a subscription?
You need mobile data for the 4G connection. You can either use the SIM solution through the app or a SIM card from a regular telecom company.
Cloud storage is optional if you use a micro SD card instead.
Can animals see the camera's light at night?
The camera uses 940 nm no-glow infrared light, which does not produce the normal visible red IR glow.
Does the camera work in winter and rain?
The camera is IP66-rated and designed for outdoor use in rain and changing weather conditions.
